Tom Otstot and Kate Ewens started Rise Foundation because they are passionate about communication, leadership, and the future of our youth!
They are committed to helping young people learn the art of Public Speaking and Leadership. Through classes and training, Tom and Kate help students develop the public speaking, presentation and leadership skills needed to STAND OUT!
Kate Ewens is an executive in the healthcare industry. She has served as a district-level director for Toastmasters International as well as other positions at the district, division and area levels. Kate was recently awarded “Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM)” designation, the highest designation in Toastmasters International. Kate is a long-time Toastmasters youth leadership facilitator and has facilitated a number of public speaking and leadership programs for both students and adults. She has worked with a number of organizations including YearUp, Maricopa Community Colleges, and Paradise Valley Unified School District.
Kate is currently the director of Toastmasters International Leadership Institute for the 2020 – 2021 year.
Tom Otstot has served as a business executive for numerous companies in the consumer products industry for over 30 years both domestically and internationally. He is an award-winning speaker, twice reaching the international stage of the World Championship of Public Speaking.
Tom is a long-time Instructor for Toastmasters Leadership Institute as well as a facilitator for a number of Public Speaking and Leadership programs, including those with Year Up and Maricopa Community Colleges. Tom is also a popular Keynote and Event Speaker, as well as a highly acclaimed speaking coach for executives, organizations and competitive speakers.
